The Daily
Just watched (video): Get On Your Boots by U2. I’m actually a little skeeved by 50 year old men singing about sexy boots.
Just watched (movie): Hiroshima, Mon Amour. A poetic metaphor for the bombing of Hiroshima. 4 stars out of 5. It’s quite good.
Cooked: Baked rigatoni with eggplant & sausage
Drinking: La Boca Malbec 2007 from Argentina. Just ok. Better if you let it breathe for a couple of days.
Studying: GRE math problems
Current song on repeat: Leave Our Boyfriends by Leona Naess

The Daily
Interesting news: On CNN this morning, a Harvard professor detailed smart reasons for legalizing drugs.
Just ate: Toast and a glass of milk. My go-to snack of choice.
Latest restaurant: The Asgard in Cambridge. Pretty below average joint. I ordered fish tacos. The fish were fried pieces of blandness with barely anything else on the taco. Had to request salsa which tasted like the store bought El Paso brand.
Current fave (song): Jack Killed Mom by Jenny Lewis
Last night’s concert: Japan Night at TT Bears. Pretty fun time. We saw 4 bands which ranged from a masked musical game console player to a punk band named Samurai Attack. My favorite moments though were when they tried to speak to us in English. They didn’t know much, so they would just say things like, “We are cool band,” and “We all time crazy.” Good stuff.

The Daily List
Just watched (movie): Duplicity. It’s fun, sexy & sassy, but that’s about it. Oh, and Clive is sex on fire.
Just watched (tv): Mad Men, Season 1. I heart the cinematography and art direction, but it’s moving at a glacial pace.
Started reading (book): Ulysses. I may have to quicken my normal 5 pages a day pace. Don’t want to finish it when my first child graduates college.
Just read (magazine): Allure. I’m not much of a magazine buyer (I’m more of a sit at a bookstore magazine reader), but I’ve been buying more lately to occupy my mind while I’m on the treadmill (which is more boring than death, in my opinion). Actually had some decent beauty advice on some anti-aging products (sadly, I now qualify).
Last restaurant: Pho Pasteur. I ate the WHOLE FREAKING BOWL. I never do that! I felt like when I walked I swished. Ugh.
Tonight’s event: Japan Night at TT Bears. One of Gem’s Japanese friends goes every year and says it’s a blast.
Spanish word of the day: la primavera = spring
