Quantifying Chaos

You know what’s really meaningless to me? Dates. If you were to ask me right now what’s today’s date, I’d give you a very dumbfounded blank stare for about 30 full seconds until it became quite awkward. Day after day, my mental deficiency in this area never fails to humble me. I mean, it’s simple, right? It’s a number! They go sequentially! You just add 1!
Although, in the end, we all have to admit it’s just an empty construct to add a token of structure to an otherwise meaningless and chaotic existence.
